using your head heart
| Description www.cheapjoes.com Frank breaks down this DVD into 8 learning chapters that cover Design, Direct (Dry) Painting, Wet Into Wet, Color Patching, Easel Drizzling, Calligraphic Painting, Layering and Transparency and Darks First. Using his step by step techniques will impart valuable lessons for every artist wishing to improve their painting skills. For those that can't turn up your speakers, here is a transcription. And I'll tilt my paper maybe just a bit more temporarily by putting my sponge here; having the sponge at the top edge gives me a little more slant. Now if gravity will help me here just a little bit as I go across the top, I'll paint everywhere that's not meant to be white. I move down the painting, it's just a little too dark. I add a little water, and I just make sure a little bead forms on the bottom. See gravity forms a bead. I work horizontally, and I'll allow that white boat in here to stay and I paint around my boat. So let's get down toward the boat shapes, and as long as you maintain a bead at the bottom like I'm doing here, it will not form an edge and you can keep your color moving continuously.
